Further Experiments in Automotive Component Durability

Developing in-process/production tests that are well linked to field conditions is becoming more important in the auto industry. This presentation will examine, through case studies, the process of developing a production test and linking it to field conditions. Techniques used for field data reduction will be discussed in an effort to detail the methods used in test and specification development for automotive components. While targeted at the automotive industry, the techniques discussed will be of interest to a broad audience.

Key Words: In-Process Testing, Production Testing, Field to Bench Correlation
