The Load Matrix: A Methodology to Optimize Durability and Reliability Validation Programs

The Load Matrix is a systematic approach to generate new or optimize existing validation programs. It is based on component-specific test acceleration factors and uses damage models as well as statistical concepts. Using the Load Matrix approach helps to achieve complete and balanced test programs while avoiding unrealistic over-testing. This presentation describes the background, the Load Matrix process and several industrial case studies in detail.

Key Words: Load Matrix, Durability and Reliability Validation Optimization, Damage Models, Acceleration Factors, Durability and Reliability Demonstration
