Reliability Engineering as an
Organizational Value Add: Satisfying Corporate Leadership and Wall
Street
Most reliability engineers,
teachers, and promoters have been challenged at some point in their
careers to express, in financial terms, the value-add for
reliability engineering. These concepts provide a basis for
presenting a value proposition, which enables discussion about
ascertaining financial objectives that drive profit and a return on
investment. These concepts empower engineers, and other concerned
parties, with methods to identify financial value from reliability
engineering activities.
Key Words: SWOT, ROA, ROI,
IRR, Strategy, Leadership Action Plan
