Developing Accelerated Vibration Tests

Developing an accelerated life test that is well linked to field is becoming more important in the automotive industry. This presentation will examine that process through a case study. The process of developing a screening test and using the results from that test to evaluate design alternatives will be detailed. Techniques used for field data reduction will be discussed in an effort to detail the methods used in test and specification development for automotive components. While targeted at the automotive industry, the techniques discussed will be of interest to a broad audience.
