At this year's Applied Reliability Symposium in Reno, Nevada, the Awards Dinner on Thursday night gave attendees the chance to mingle with colleagues and cast their votes for the best presentations. We were pleased to present the Excellent Presentations Awards, and to recognize a new Certified Reliability Professional.

Congratulations to all of our 2010 ARS Excellent Presentation Award Winners!
The winners were selected by votes cast by attendees. The winners this year were:
Harland MacKenzie (Gold) from Dana Corp. for his presentation, The Life-Stress Slope: The Key to Accelerated Life Testing
Romney B. Duffey (Silver) from AECL Chalk River Laboratories for his presentation, High Reliability and Systemic Risk: Predicting Rare Events and Failures in Modern Technological Systems
Peder Andersson (Bronze) from Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions AB for his presentation, The Reliability Sleuth - A Proposal for a Troubleshooting Process
Recognizing Certified Reliability Professional (CRP) Recipients
To achieve certification in the Certified Reliability Professional (CRP) program, candidates must gain, apply and demonstrate unquestionable expertise in the field of Reliability Engineering. CRPs are distinguished reliability professionals, and Mike Mundt of Sandia National Laboratories recently achieved the certification. We were pleased to present him with his certification, and congratulate him for his achievement. To learn more about the CRP program, click here.
