Linking Design FMEA to Reliability Validation Plan

This presentation brings out the linking of Design FMEA to Reliability Validation Plan as part of the Design for Reliability for any new product introduction. The case study is on a product used for automobile application. Some of the important aspects in Design for Reliability are FMEA and Reliability Testing. It is very important to link the Design FMEA to reliability validation. This will aid in understanding the reliability of the product and warranty that we can assure the customer. This also helps in optimizing the test to understand the quantity of samples required, and tests needed to assure the warranty and reliability of the product at minimum cost.
