Reliability Analysis Approach in an Offshore Turbogeneration Package

Many issues about turbomachinery reliability are being discussed inside our company nowadays. However, almost nothing is known about the consequences of the architecture and configuration chosen on the resulting reliability of the system as a whole. In spite of this, we shall need to consider some aspects of our actual maintenance plans whenever reliability studies are being considered. In the work described in this presentation, we did theoretical calculations of a reliability approach for one of our working turbogeneration packages and subsequently we confronted these findings with the numbers for a real turbogeneration package to examine and validate our results.
