Enhancing Supplier Reliability: An OEM Approach

This session will provide an overview of some of the current procedures and practices of the reliability department at Cessna Aircraft Company as well as a perspective on some of the challenges that are facing the aviation industry, in general. It will also provide an overview of some of the efforts that Cessna Aircraft Company is undertaking to drive the supply base to adopt reliability at very early stages of a product life cycle, and to understand the need for business and engineering activities to promote and sustain reliability performance in a way that can enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Murad Hamada is a Supply Chain Reliability Group Leader at Cessna Aircraft Company. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department at Wichita State University. He got his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Wichita State University. He also received his M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State University. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University. His research interests focus on Accelerated Degradation Testing and World Class Reliability processes.
