A Template for Rapid Component Life Data Analysis in the Airline Industry
Airline Fleet Managers and other ‘financial decision makers’ require reliability and cost benefit data of sufficient quality in a timely,
and consistent, manner if they are to make appropriate maintenance decisions. Using Life Data Analysis as the core element, this presentation outlines the development of a
Component LDA report template which can be generated rapidly, in a useable format, to support quantitative maintenance programme decisions. The standard report template has a
number of sections, organized sequentially and populated from a variety of reliability data and analysis sources. Each report concludes with a number of maintenance related
recommendations based on a cost benefit analysis of the preventative to corrective maintenance ratio. The template is being developed as experience is gained in its application to
an increasing variety of components.
