Transition from Reliability Engineering to Reliability Management
Quite often, reliability engineering, with all of its tools and techniques, is treated as a core technology job, with most of the middle management
in the value chain disassociating themselves from it. This presentation brings an insight into the methodology of applying the principles of
quality management to bring in the customer’s voice on product reliability as an integral process for internal management. Key elements of the
presentation include: 1) Principles of quality management as applied to reliability engineering, 2) Disciplined process deployment of weaving
reliability tools and techniques into daily work management, and 3) Suitable case studies of successful reliability management techniques.
