Data Requirements: What to collect and for whom?
One of the most difficult questions to ask is: what data should we collect? Why in fact do we collect data? These two questions when posed to managers and different departments will be answered differently. Each will have a specific objective in mind and will require data to help them achieve that objective. This presentation is aimed at providing data mangers an effective way to identify what data is required to be collected to meet the needs of an organisation, regardless of department or management level. This enables data managers to collect only data that is pertinent to the organization. Data managers can then educate staff in what the collected data is used for with an aim to improve data quality and data ownership throughout the organisation.
