Facilitation Skills for FMEA Leaders

An FMEA facilitation leader is more than a facilitator and more than a team leader. He or she is a technical guide, public speaker, technical presenter, negotiator, problem solver and psychologist, all at the same time. FMEA is a risk management tool — not a brainstorming session or a team meeting — and, as such, it demands that the facilitator be able to navigate all of these various roles. There are many issues to be dealt with in a diverse technical forum where there are extremes of technical competencies and differing personalities. This challenge becomes even more complex in a global community, where face-to-face meetings are few and far between. This session will equip the attendee with information on how to be an effective FMEA facilitator
