Asset Management Supported by Reliability Engineering
Companies already apply different methods to manage their assets but, in this tutorial, a key factor will be added to the process: reliability engineering. Several asset performance processes do not include reliability analysis, but how can you manage your asset if you do not have the ability to know the reliability performance during the operational lifetime? As the old management adage says, "If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it." Asset management supported by reliability engineering is the key for companies to control and manage equipment reliability/availability and reach their business objectives. This tutorial will cover some important activities that are necessary for efficient asset performance management including: 1) Good data collection and management. 2) Access to the information. 3) Accurate analysis. 4) Managing the project. 5) Making quick decisions. 6) Storing the knowledge acquired.
