PAS-55 and Reliability Engineering
The PAS-55 guideline puts together systematic and coordinated activities and practices by which an organization optimally and sustainably manages its assets and systems, their associated performance, as well as related risks and expenditures. One of the key aspects of the PAS-55 is to connect the company's strategic objectives, including short-term and long-term objectives, with the day-to-day asset management activities. In addition, all PAS-55 requirements stress the importance of having a good data collection system, because the core of a good and successful asset management program is based on the analysis of data. This tutorial will present the relationship between PAS-55 requirements and reliability engineering methodologies.
