In some cases, the Symposium organizers may approach proposal writers to request changes in their proposals to better fit Symposium needs.

If Your Proposal Is Selected:
After the completion of the proposal review period, an ARS representative will contact you regarding the status of your submission. If your proposal is selected for inclusion at the upcoming event, then as an ARS presenter, you will receive complimentary Symposium registration, a shirt with the ARS logo and our sincere appreciation for helping to make the event thought-provoking and rewarding for your fellow reliability professionals. In return, we ask for your cooperation with the following process. Specific deadlines for the upcoming event are posted in the table at the upper right side of this Web page.

1 Accept Selection
Please send an e-mail to PresentEurope@ARSymposium.org to accept your selection as an ARS presenter.
2 Submit Complete Draft of Your Presentation
Please submit a complete draft of your presentation that is ready for proofreading. All presenters must use the PowerPoint template provided by ARS. For best results, please consider the tips that are provided on the first slide of the template when preparing your file.

Important Note: Each presenter is solely responsible for the content of his/her presentation and we encourage you to distribute your draft to colleagues for feedback on the material you intend to present prior to submitting your file to ARS. If any minor proofreading or formatting modifications are necessary to make the presentation print-ready, the ARS Organizers will apply the edits directly to the PPT file that you submitted. If you wish to make additional changes to the original draft, please wait until the proofed/formatted copy is returned to you.

3 Submit Final Print-Ready Presentation
Please review the proofed/formatted copy of the PPT file that has been returned to you and make any final modifications that may be necessary before the PROCEEDINGS booklet goes to print. Submit the finalized copy of your presentation, which will be used for the printed booklets distributed to attendees and pre-loaded on the ARS laptops used at the event. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to assure that the materials distributed to attendees match the presentations delivered at the event, additional changes to the presentation will not be accepted after the final deadline.
4 Submit Publication Release Form
Please submit a signed publication release form via e-mail, fax or mail. Without this copyright release, your materials cannot be included in the PROCEEDINGS booklet distributed at the event.

5 Presenter Orientation
A brief "orientation" meeting will be scheduled for the evening prior to the start of the event so that presenters may check the version of the PowerPoint file that has been pre-loaded onto the ARS computers and familiarize themselves with the microphone, timer, etc. You will receive specific details via e-mail shortly before the event.
6 Present at the Symposium
Please plan to arrive at the podium 5-10 minutes before your presentation is scheduled to begin. Although the general attire at the Symposium tends to be "business casual," most presenters choose to dress more professionally for their own presentations.

If you have any questions or concerns during the process, please contact PresentEurope@ARSymposium.org.
