involves the manufacturing cost and profit elements; the
operational cost also involves the maintenance costs and failure
costs, which are directly related to the inherent reliability of
the product. A failure occurrence triggers a set of actions not
only to restore serviceability of the product but, if the failed
part is repairable, also for repair and rectification. All of
