Reliability Practices: Aerospace & Automobile Industries

The word "Reliability" has gained much significance in all industrial sectors. The aerospace industry is the forerunner of reliability. Other industries have embraced reliability, recognizing the importance and the impact it has on the business.

This presentation describes the reliability practices followed in the aerospace industry and the constraints and challenges for it to be adopted in the automobile industry. The reliability practices that will be discussed include field data analysis, Weibull analysis, risk forecasting, reliability predictions, product life estimation, warranty and the importance of safety. The presentation also highlights the different perspectives of reliability practices in these two industries.
